Alison Rowley is a professional musician, music leader and instrumental teacher with a Music degree from the University of Cambridge.

She teaches private lessons in violin, folk fiddle, piano and keyboard, ukuleleaural training and learning by ear, music theory, and composition. Her teaching is based in Bristol. Lessons are one-to-one, for all ages, and take place at the students’ house.

Alison can also be booked by schools in Bristol as a peripatetic instrumental teacher.

She is also an experienced workshop and rehearsal leader, specialising in folk music skills for all ages and abilities (including learning tunes, playing by ear, and creating arrangements) and  traditional dance from across the UK (including maypole and country dancing). She can be hired for school and community projects, festivals, and as a long-term band tutor.
