Alison’s tin whistle workshops are designed to help absolute beginners get started on a new instrument. No prior musical experience is necessary, and you’ll be able to play your way through an easy folk tune within an hour!
Tin whistles are a great starter instrument – these are small and inexpensive but can produce a beautiful sound very quickly! Playing tin whistle opens you up to a whole world of folk repertoire and relaxed ensemble playing. Learning to play the tin whistle is the folky alternative to the recorder.
